Rishikesh is commonly referred to as the ‘yoga capital of the world‘ and rightly so. The destination is abuzz with visitors, who come here to learn yoga and meditation.
Rishikesh, the ‘place of the sages’ is a celebrated spiritual town located on the banks of the Ganga. Surrounded by Shivaik range of Himalayas on three sides, it holds a deep cultural and spiritual significance for its visitors. It is believed that when Raibhya Rishi undertook rigorous penance, God appeared in the form of “Hrishikesh“ and henceforth this area came to be known as Rishikesh. It is the starting point for the Hindu Char Dham pilgrimage, including Yamunotri, Gangotri, Kedarnath and Badrinath, to seek spiritual salvation. Rishikesh is an ideal destination not only for pilgrims but also for those who want to delve deeper into spirituality, yoga and other aspects of ancient practices. Sacred rivers and mountains make a perfect stage for yoga and reflective hikes. Rishikesh is also called the ‘Yoga capital of the world’. For the adventurous, Rishikesh is the place for starting their trekking expeditions and excursions towards the Himalayan peaks.
Rishikesh, Place for Pilgrim and Adventure
Famously known as the Yoga capital of the world, Rishikesh is a quiet haven for those who seek tranquility from a fast-paced life. Located in Uttarakhand, about twenty-five kilometers from Haridwar, Rishikesh is a small town that encapsulates faith and Hinduism like no other town in India. The town is one of the famous pilgrimage sites in the country. Morning combined city sightseeing Old and New Delhi covering Jama Masjid - The largest mosque in Asia, drive pass Red Fort-The red stone magic, Gandhi memorial–The memoir of father of the nation. Sightseeing India Gate - The memorial of martyrs, Parliament House – The govt. headquarters, Humayun Tomb and Qutab Minar. Overnight hotel.
Delhi – Jaipur (05 hrs drive)
Today morning take drive to Jaipur, upon arrival check into hotel. Afternoon free to enjoy the city atmosphere. Overnight hotel.
Jaipur
In the morning take an excursion to Amber fort with joy ride on an Elephant. In the afternoon take a city tour covering City Palace – occupies a large area divided into a series of courtyards, gardens & buildings and a perfect blend of Rajasthani & Mughal architecture, Royal Observatory – An observatory with some rare qualities to its credit and the Bazaar etc. Overnight hotel.
Jaipur – Fatehpur Sikri - Agra (05 - 06 hrs drive)
Today afternoon take drive to Agra en-route visiting old deserted town of Mughal Dynasty – Fatehpur Sikri. On arrival, check into hotel. Overnight stay at hotel.
Agra - Delhi (04 hrs drive)
Morning city tour covering Taj Mahal – a poem written in white marble, the most extravagant monument ever built for love, Red Fort – a visit to the fort in ‘Agra’ is must since so many of the events which lead to the construction of the Taj took place here, Itmad-ud-daula Tomb – The tomb is of particular interest since many of its design elephants overshadow the Taj. Afternoon drive to Delhi. On arrival check in to the hotel for overnight stay.
Delhi – Rishikesh
After Breakfast drive to Rishikesh, on arrival Rishikesh check into hotel. In the evening visit attractions like Triveni Ghat to witness the Ganges aarti. It’s a place of confluence of the three holy rivers- the Ganges, Yamuna and Saraswati and Bharat Mandir, which was built back during 9th century by philosopher Adi Shankaracharya. Overnight stay at hotel.
Rishikesh
Morning breakfast at hotel, Post breakfast at hotel, proceed for the sightseeing tour of Rishikesh, which includes the visit of Ram Jhula, Lakshman Jhula, Bharat Mandir, Triveni Ghat, Shivananda Ashram and Parmarth Ashram.
Rishikesh – Haridwar – Rishikesh
Today after breakfast take excursion to Haridwar and enjoy temple tour of Haridwar. Later drive back to Rishikesh. Overnight stay at hotel.
Rishikesh – Delhi
Today you will drive back to Delhi. On arrival Delhi check into hotel. Overnight stay at hotel.
Delhi departure
After Breakfast in time assisted transfer to international airport to connect flight for your onward destination.
